Colin Howard, Chairman/CTO |
Colin has been involved with
technology for over 30
years. Amongst his many
successes, he was
responsible for installing
the first digital dealing
rooms in the City of London
in the early 1980s. He
subsequently founded the
first electronic
stockbrokers in the late
1980’s. In the early 1990s
Colin created Di-Soft (our
software house), bringing
together the technical and
commercial talent of
individuals with whom he had
worked over the previous six
years.
In 1995 he became Founder
Chairman of BusinessNet –
the first ever
business-to-business ISP
that was sold to Level (3)
Communications, Inc. in
January 1999. Colin was one
of the founders of Comdaq.

Tames Rietdijk,
Chief Executive Officer |
Tames is well-reputed for
his track record as a
Product Manager/Business
Developer for banks and
exchanges. He founded and
launched Climex in 2003, an
exchange in environmental
commodities for which he
developed the core elements:
trading software, the rule
book, settlement operations
and the distribution channel
(indirect sales). Climex
established itself from a
new entrant to the one with
the largest number of active
market participants in
Europe.
Prior to launching Climex,
Tames started his career as
a certified accountant with
KPMG, worked as a product
manager on financial
software with Exact Software
and implemented complex
adaptive systems with banks
and exchanges, focusing on
market surveillance
routines, risk management
and trade monitoring.

Robert Ruth,
Software Director |
Robert has been working as
an engineer and process
manager in software
development for over 25
years. He has worked for
both large and small
companies and has built up a
wealth of knowledge and
relevant experience in
various aspects of
delivering quality software,
both embedded and as
applications. He
thrives at delivering high
volume/high performance
solutions to meet end-user
requirements in continuously
changing markets.
His previous roles have seen
him manage, direct and
control large and small
software development teams
directly or remotely, across
different countries always
ensuring best practises and
efficient delivery with
companies such as Nortel and
GEC.

Robin Shaw |
|
Robin was head of trading at Sucres et Denrees, sugar traders based in Paris, from
1985 to 1992. He also spent 8 years as chairman and shareholder of CR Sugar Trading
Limited, sugar traders based in London. He has 34 years' experience of the sugar
trading market and was one of the founders of Comdaq.

Neil Grover |
|
Neil has 19 years experience in the precious metals trading market and until
recently was Manager/Director Precious Metals, Prudential-Bache International Limited,
having joined the Prudential-Bache Group in May 1993.

Ronald Willemsen |
|
Ronald started his career as a broker in edible nuts and dried fruits. After 3 years
he moved into the agricommodities sector and was a trader in a range of physical
commodities.1989 saw Ronald move into the brokerage side of the business where his
success enabled him to become a founding partner of his own brokerage operation.
Ronald was a partner in Procom, which merged its operations with Comdaq in October
2000.

Jan van Gameren |
|
Jan started worked for 5 years with Codrico BV, a maize miller in Rotterdam, before
moving to Jos van den Dries and Co BV. After 5 years he moved into the brokerage
side of the business initially as a partner with Mostert Soypro, and subsequently
as a partner in Procom.

Aart de Bruijn |
|
Aart began his career in 1966 with Andre et Cie in Lausanne and subsequently moved
to Bunge/ADM where he was a trader in Hamburg, Paris and Antwerp. In 1983 he became
head of the grains and soya-trading department for Nidera, a role that he fulfilled
until he left the company in 1997. He joined the Procom group as a partner, founding
Procom Grains and Freight.

Bob Sowton |
|
Bob has been involved with technology in a wide range of applications since 1979.
He has significant project management, software development and infrastructure implementation
experience gained in a number of directorship and project management roles. He joined
Comdaq in 1999 and is responsible for technical architecture.

Frederick's is a charity founded by Paul Barry-Walsh (see press article dated
August 2nd.) which is an investor in Comdaq. We are proud to be associated with
the aims of the charity, which are outlined in the article, but essentially they
are to help disadvantaged people to get back into employment.
